One of the important parts of Reclaimed By You’s mission is to work with and support local non-profits and small businesses. This month, we are thrilled to be a part of Benevolent Basket’s Dog Days of Summer fundraiser. Benevolent Baskets is a non-profit organization that helps transition women from homelessness to independent living. And we are super excited to help them achieve that mission however we can.#reclaimed #rustic #farmhouse #Benevolent Baskets #Baltimore #fundraiser #crafts #diy #shabbypaints

The event itself will be taking place on August 2, 2018 at Monument Brewing in Baltimore. And as part of the fundraiser, they will also be having a silent auction online starting Monday July 23rd. We are so excited to provide a finished sign to this auction to support them!

The sign we’re providing is a 15”x30” cabinet door that we picked up at Community Forklift one day. The door had some scratches and dings so I painted it with Shabby Paints chalk paint and then stenciled on top of that. On it’s own, the door was a useless piece of scrap that may have been destined for the junk pile. But with a tiny little bit of effort, it’s now a gorgeous piece of rustic farmhouse style décor that is going to look fabulous in someone’s home.

And bonus! All of the products used to refinish this piece are non-toxic and zero VOC. To see more about the piece we’re donating and how it was made, you can take a look at this short video showing the process. And remember, you can make gorgeous signs and other décor just like this with us anytime you want. Just fill out our contact form to get more info!

So I hope you’ll all check out the online auction and support Benevolent Baskets if you are able. Their event on August 2nd looks like a blast too. And, as always, make sure to tell them we sent you!
